GMR / GVMS Movements

Goods Movement References for every UK RoRo crossing

Every truck arriving at a UK RoRo port — Dover, Folkestone Eurotunnel, Holyhead, Killingholme, Pembroke — must carry a Goods Movement Reference (GMR) generated through the Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS). The GMR pairs every customs declaration on the truck (import, export, transit) with the physical vehicle.

We build GMRs for our customers and partner hauliers in seconds. We pair MRNs, EORIs, and trailer/vehicle registrations, and we monitor the GMR status so we know — in real time — whether the truck has been routed to a control zone or cleared straight through.

How It Works

  1. 1Send us declaration MRNs and vehicle registration
  2. 2We build the GMR via GVMS
  3. 3GMR scanned by haulier at check-in
  4. 4We monitor crossing status until cleared
