ENS Safety & Security

Entry Summary Declarations for goods entering the UK or EU

Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) are safety and security filings that must be lodged before goods physically arrive at the border. For UK-bound traffic, we file ENS via the UK Safety & Security GB system. For EU-bound traffic, we file via the EU ICS2 platform — now in its third release covering road, rail and short-sea movements.

Missing an ENS means your driver gets turned away at the first check. We pre-file every consignment well within the required pre-arrival window — typically 1 hour before arrival for road, 2 hours for short-sea ferry, and 4 hours for short-sea container.

How It Works

  1. 1Provide carrier, route and HS-coded item-level data
  2. 2We file ENS on Safety & Security GB or EU ICS2
  3. 3MRN issued — driver cleared to approach the border
  4. 4Confirmation sent to dispatcher and driver
